After a fantastic start at the domestic box office, Varun Dhawan‘s Judwaa 2 has ended the first weekend on a high. Not only has it raked in a massive amount of Rs 59.25 crore in just three days, but also become the fifth highest opening weekend grosser of 2017. But that’s not the end of the film’s achievements! Judwaa 2 has also managed to beat the collections of ABCD 2 and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, to emerge as Varun Dhawan’s highest opening weekend grosser ever. Isn’t this a fantastic feat by the movie?

Taking a look at the first weekend collections of all Varun Dhawan films till date, you will realise that ABCD 2 (Rs 46.35 crore) was his highest opening weekend grosser till date. But it is now demoted to second after Judwaa 2 (Rs 59.25 crore) took over the pole position. Badrinath Ki Dulhania is now in third (Rs 43.05 crore), followed by Dishoom (Rs 37.32 crore), Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (Rs 33.74 crore), Student of The Year (Rs 30 crore), Badlapur (Rs 23.50 crore) and Main Tera Hero (Rs 22.73 crore). You must be wondering why we did not take Dilwale in this list, so let us tell you that the film was more a Shah Rukh Khan movie, than Varun Dhawan’s.
