Shah Rukh Khan is known for his romantic image on screen, so much that he is known as the King of Romance. They even say that even if he romances a tree on screen, he will still look good doing so. Even the younger actors look upto him when it comes to inspiring them to perform romantic scenes on screen. But the man himself wants us to believe that he is not romantic at all in real life. In fact he hates romantic movies, and would rather prefer to watch action and comedy movies.

This was revealed during the launch of the Hawayein song from Jab Harry Met Sejal that it was his daughter Suhana who insists on him watching romcoms. Fine, he is not interested in romantic movies. But is he a romantic husband to his wife Gauri? Come on, if he is that good in romancing his heroines offscreen, it must be an inherent part of his offscreen persona. So when Shah Rukh Khan was asked by one of the reporters present whether he is a romantic husband to Gauri, SRK actually blushed and replied, “Main theek thak hoon yaar (I am alright, dear)! I have a good sense of humour. I am very shy talking about these things!” SRK, we seriously don’t believe you are just theek thak, knowing your love story with Gauri before your marriage.

Shah Rukh Khan also had a funny response when he was asked if Gauri has issues seeing him romance other girls on screen. This is what he said, “After seeing me throw a woman in Baazigar, she never asked me anything.” Humorous and humble, and the man says he is not romantic.

Shah Rukh Khan will be seen next in Jab Harry Met Sejal, which is releasing on August 4. The movie is directed by Imtiaz Ali, and also stars Anushka Sharma in the lead.
