Manish Paul and Karan Johar open the night amidst hilarious banter which sets the mood for the evening. The first award of the night was Best Debut which went to Meera Desothale. Sudha Chandran picked the Best Actor in a Negative role for Naagin. Post that began, a string of performances which left us really entertained. Check out the highlights of the evening right here. Salman yousuf khan makes a fiery entry. He gives an awesome performance. Shani from the show of the same name followed him and danced on Har har song on Shivaay. It was an awesome performance. It was powerpacked and awesome. Karan Johar calls Colors animal friendly channel coz there’re snakes, gorillas and makkhi. They pun on Thapki’s resurrection from dead. They had host screening process. Maneish Paul, Farah Khan, Bharti Singh and Karan screened people and the first candidate was Raghav Juyal. They reject Raghav which is played out like a TV serial. Raghav was pretty funny.

Maneish and Karan take a Colors show test of Raghav. That’s one hilarious show.

Sooraj and Chakor dance on Gerua from Dilwale looking really precious. Harman danced with Soumya and it was really pretty. The fairy tale theme was great. They also play on Karan turning a father.

Raghav takes over as a host and does a great job. In fact, he was better than Karan and Manish. Farah Khan and Raghav call jodis on stage. They instruct the jodis to pick up their partners and run. Sooraj drops Chakor and Rishi drops Tanu. Raghav gets a partner in Bharti. He tries to play the same game and pick up Raghav. But when he doesn’t manage it Bharti gives him a piggyback ride. Sidharth Shukla and Reshmi Desai had the coldest reaction of winning the Best Jodi award. They just didn’t seem happy. Guess there isn’t much love there and what we see on screen is after all an act and nothing more.

Farah and Manish take over and decide who is a better reality show judge. Face off was between Jacqueline Fernandez, Karan Johar, Ganesh Hegde and Malaika Arora. Ganesh and Malaika win the test. Manish tried to make it funny but it was at the most drab.

Monali Thakur gives the liveliest performance of the evening. She is joined by Ssharad Malhotra and Karanvir Bohra who dance on Kala Chashma. Ssharad seemed to be dancing in his living room. He wasn’t in snyc with the rest at all. Karan Wahi and Ravi Dubey then join Monali and they dance on Tamma Tamma again. All the boys then join Monali on stage to groove to Badrinath Ki Dulhania title track. This was the best performance of the show ever. Ssharad seemed a little too excited to be on stage.

Karan Johar teaches dance steps to bahus of various shows who are nominated in the Best Actress category. We have never seen anything lamer than that. Maneish Paul asks the Best actor nominees to get as many kisses as they get from the audience.

Manish and Karan also had a game for the actors in the Best Actor category. Manish asked all of them to get as many kisses as possible to get brownie points. Nobody wins this test but Sooraj gets maximum love. Ahem!
