The 99th episode of The Kapil Sharma Show is here. The show starts off with supposedly funny gag where Kapil brings along his famous character of Mr. Arora. Along with Mr. Arora there was Kiku Sharda’s Bumper, Sumona’s Sarla and Upasana Singh, Paresh Ganatra and mimicry artiste Jaswant. And it breaks my heart to see India’s beloved comedian trying hard to make audience laugh, to no avail. Each and every joke fell flat on its face. The only good thing about the gag was the fact that it ended before it bored us to death.

The show then saw its guest in legendary Punjabi singer Hans Raj Hans. Kapil gave him a grand welcome and the singer made an entry on his chartbuster track Tote Tote Ho Gaya from Bobby Deol starrer Bichhoo. Kapil Sharma tells him how big of a fan he is in return the singer quips, taking a dig at Kapil Sharma for not inviting him all these years on his show.

And then the inevitable happened, which I personally was waiting for and that was Kapil requested the legendary singer to croon his classic track from Ajay Devgn-Saif Ali Khan starrer Kachche Dhaage. The Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan composed track, Khaali Dil Nahin Jaan Bhi Hai created a musical atmosphere and everyone was left mesmerised by Hans Raj Hans’s rendition. Even if the show misses its star artiste Sunil Grover, Kapil Sharma still does his best when it comes to holding the show together. His quirky digs at Navjot Singh Sidhu are still pure GOLD. Also read: Sunil Grover calls Kapil Sharma a “great comedian” who makes India laugh

The thing that worked in shows favour today was the presence of Hans Raj Hans and his son Yuvraj Hans. Whenever the show dipped in entertainment there was a classic performance from either of the two. The running joke of the show was how Kapil didn’t invite Hans Raj Hans all these years.
