Word about Fatima Sana Shaikh being considered for Thugs of Hindostan did the rounds sometime ago. However, little did we know that a look test had been done for the actress! Oh yes, picture of the Dangal beauty posing with swag as a pirate, surfaced in the morning. Without a doubt, speculations started spiralling across the industry over this. Will she bag the role opposite Aamir Khan? You see, she has already worked with him before as his daughter in Mahavir Phogat’s biopic. But will she bag the lead role opposite Aamir in Thugs? Actually, the bigger question here is, would you want to see her paired with the superstar in Thugs of Hindostan? Of course, she has denied about getting the role on various occasions. However, the sudden surfacing of this pic does put ideas in our head.

Thanks to this pic, we can actually imagine her be a pirate. But whether she will do justice to the role or would someone else make a better pirate than her is a question that still needs answering. Right now, her biggest contender is Shraddha Kapoor. We’ve spotted the actress outside Khan’s residence on several times. It does pique our interest to know if she has signed the dotted lines for the film. But as of now, there’s no such confirmation made on either of them getting the role. Wow, Yash Raj really likes to keep the suspense quotient high on their female casting. If you remember, even during Sultan this had happened, until finally, the role went to Anushka Sharma. Anyway, let’s not digress. A source had told us once that Aamir has a clause that he doesn’t cast the same actress in any of his films. Basically, he doesn’t repeat.

But technically, if he signs Fatima, he’s not repeating as such because he wasn’t romantically inclined to her in Dangal. In fact, he played her father in the movie.
