People have been suggesting that the Chatur Naar song from Machine is actually a remake of Ek Chatur Naar (Padosan). However, Kiara and Mustafa denied this claim in our exclusive interview. In fact, they suggested that they had just taken a common word from the song and hence people were confused. Apart from clearing this confusion, the actors also spoke about working with the director duo of Abbas-Mustan, why they chose to be a part of Machine, matching steps with Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon for the remake of Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast and much more. Check out everything they had to say in our full, EXCLUSIVE video interview right here:
Q. People have been suggesting that you’ve redone Ek Chatur Naar for the film. Is that true?
Kiara Advani (KA): No, we’ve not redone Ek Chatur Naar!
Mustafa Burmawalla (MB): It’s actually just one word which we have taken from that song.
Q. Ok, so what has the response been like for the song?
KA: I guess it has created a lot of buzz.
MB: It has got a fantastic response, people are loving the energy, the vibe of the song. It’s new and it’s fresh.
KA: People have that connect with Ek Chatur Naar because that song is more popular. But our song is actually different, the lyrics are completely different. (ALSO READ – Movies This Week: Machine, Trapped)
Q. But you guys have recreated Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon’s song Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast, tell us more.
MB: Yes, we have remade Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast, but you can’t compare it to the original one because that one will always be the original one. We just added a few beats. But, yeah we were excited and nervous to show it to Akshay sir and Raveena Ma’am.
KA: We were never trying to match up to them because that will be impossible.
