Whether you agree or not, Bigg Boss 10 was nothing like its previous seasons. Well, not entirely. Though a few contestants put the channel’s reputation at stake and thoroughly irritated us, there were quite a few things that happened in the show for the first time. If you’re an avid follower of Bigg Boss and have watched all the seasons, you were obviously expecting lots of fights and steamy romance packaged with a Weekend Ka Vaar with Salman Khan. But we really wish Bigg Boss 10 came with a disclaimer and a warning so we were prepared for everything that happened. In fact, the makers tried everything they could to make the reality show more interesting. Here are 5 things that happened in the show for the first time.

Salman Khan got so annoyed that he threw a contestant out of the house

If there is one thing common between Salman Khan and his fans (except that bracelet), it is pure hatred for Priyanka Jagga. The mother of two crossed her limits after getting into a very ugly verbal spat with Lopamudra Raut. She also passed insensitive comments on Manu Punjabi’s mother. If that wasn’t enough, she spoke rather rudely Bhai himself which made him kick her out of the show. Even after being so annoyed, Bhai chose to stay calm. Another contestant was evicted without any eviction

Oh well, this is one incident that was downright disgusting and carved in our memories forever. After Om Swami’s disgraceful act during the task, the self-proclaimed God man was thrown out of the house and in fact, security guards entered the house to take him outside. Swami should have been evicted from the show a long time back but like they say, it’s never too late. The saint man received a lot of warnings from Salman but it made no difference to him.

Tasks got cancelled consecutively 

This is probably the first time that so many tasks were never completed. The contestants would ruin every task, so much that the makers had to stop the task midway. And this happened a lot. This season had some really interesting and fun tasks planned but the contestants ruined it not just for themselves but also for the viewers.

A platform for so many commoners

While commoners have been a part of the show previously, too, this was the first time that so many commoners were inside the house competing with the celebrities. While some of the commoners were too much to handle (You know who), there were some like Manu Punjabi and Manveer Gurjar who became India’s favourite contestants. Bromance replaced the romance in the show

If there is one thing that all the Bigg Boss viewers expect to see in the show, it is romance. Over the years, the romance has been steamy and controversial but it was different this season. While there were linkup rumours between Monalisa and Manu, the two never added fuel to the fire. On the contrary, Manu and Manveer’s friendship became the talk of the town. Now that’s something that rarely happens, don’t you think?
