Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Naira (Shivangi Joshi) telling Manish (Sachin Tyagi) that they are punishing their daughter for something she has not done. Manish tells her that they can’t help it and apologizes to her. He calls Suwarna to come with him. Naksh consoles Naira and tells her that we can make an efffort but the result isn’t in our hands. He tells her that Kartik (Mohsin Khan) must be waiting for you and they both leave for the Sangeet Ceremony.  

Kartik wonders, where did Naira go; Aditya tells him that she went with Naksh and didn’t bother to tell where she went. Kartik gets tensed. Akhilesh thinks that Sanjay should not come here, or else everything will be ruined. Dadi tells to kick-start the Sangeet. Press starts to question Daadi about Manish absence from the ceremony. Dadi tells them that he has some work he will join in a while. People start to taunt Daadi, Naira comes there and handles the situation. Naira tells sorry to Kartik and thinks of telling him the truth but changes the topic when she sees him angry. Naira challenges Kartik for the dance Sangeet. Kartik and Naira host the Ceremony and welcome everyone. Aditya records Naira on stage and starts staring at her. First performance is done by Varsha, Mishti and Gayu from the Singhania’s and Manasi, Lav-Kush and Kartik’s massi from the Goenka’s. They dance on the song ‘One, Two,Three, Four’ dressed up in south Indian attire.

Kartik tells Naira that the Goenka’s will win, Naira tells him to wait and watch. The second performance is done by Naksh and Karishma from Singhania’s and Keerthi and Aditya from the Goenka’s. Aditya sees Naira and walks towards her to talk to her. His leg gets tangled and he loses his balance. He gets annoyed and decides not to dance and leaves. Naksh tells them to drop the dance performance; Karishma tells Naksh and Keerthi to dance and forces them to perform. Naksh and Keerthi dance on the song ‘Photocopy’. Daadi wonders why Keerthi is dancing without Aditya and gets angry. Kartik tells Naira that Keerthi has left Naksh behind in dancing. Naira tells him that losing is not there in their blood. Keerthi starts to cry in between of the performance and Naira covers the situation. Naksh and Keerthi compliment each other on dance, they both share a smile. Keerthi wonders about Aditya’s mood.

Everybody cheers for both of them. Aditya gives Keerthi an angry expression. Naitik is tensed as next performance is by him. Kartik is announcing the next performance and Dadi stops him. Dadi announces that the surprise has arrived and welcomes Badshah for KaiRa’s Sangeet Ceremony. Badshah makes a great entry and performs on the song ‘DJ Wale Babu’. Everybody enjoys the act. Badshah starts another performance and sing ‘Kar Gayi Chull’ Kartik and Naira join him on the stage. Everybody dance on the tunes of Badshah.
