OK Jaanu is one movie that is going to turn up the romance next year. Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor are already breaking the internet with the trailer, new songs and promotions. The two will be promoting the film in Shilpa Shetty’s Super Dancers, too. And we must say, Shraddha’s outfit was just perfect! She chose an Atsu Sekhose dress and Christian Louboutin pumps. Shraddha and Aditya had lots of fun with the participants and the judges of Super Dancers. Rithvik Dhanjani, who is also the host of the dance reality show, shared a group picture of the participants, judges and the two actors on Instagram.

Shraddha and Aditya will be seen in a lot of TV shows to promote OK Jaanu, including upcoming singing reality show, Dil Hai Hindustani, which has Karan Johar, Shekhar Ravjiani, Badshah and Shalmali Kholgade as the judges. We can’t wait to watch these two sizzle on television and we bet they’ll be visiting the Bigg Boss 10 house, too. For some reason, we want all celebrities to meet the Bigg Boss 10 contestants. But we’re damn excited to watch Shraddha and Aditya in Super Dancers. We bet these two will set the stage on fire. OK Jaanu is an adaptation of Tamil movie, OK Kanmani which had Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menon in the lead roles. Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur’s eye contact is so similar with Nitya and Dulquer
Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur have recreated the magic Dulquer Salmaan and Nitya Menon cast on us in OK Kanmani. The trailer of Shaad Ali’s OK Jaanu released today morning and ever since then, everybody has been raving about it. We know that it’s a remake of Tamil hit movie OK Kanmani or rather an official remake but that definitely does not mean that director has to copy scenes one after the other in a similar fashion.

Shraddha Kapoor has also issued a no kissing clause to Aditya just as Nitya did for Dilquer
Once again, with OK Jaanu, as I have watched the Tamil version as well, I couldn’t help but notice the striking similarities with OK Kanmani. For all those who don’t know, Kanmani means precious or darling and the synonyms go on and on. While the Hindi remake calls it OK Jaanu, the Tamil version’s full form is O Kadhal Kanmani, which means O the apple of my eye and once again the synonyms go on. Few days ago when the makers released another poster of OK Jaanu starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, we couldn’t help but wonder the similarities between the original one. Same frame, same pose just that the actors are different! They could have kept something as original, right?

Even the basic scenes are so similar! My only problem with director Shaad Ali is that he has tried a lot to keep the originality intact which wasn’t really needed. If you’re remaking a movie, there is no hard and fast rule that you need to copy scenes from one and put in another. For a viewer who has watched original one will have nothing new to view in the new one and this might hamper the movie’s success.

The director tries to attempt something different this time with Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur
Ok, this time there is a slight change. It’s Shraddha instead of Dulquer. In the original movie, we had Nithya driving the car while Dulqueer was busy enjoying the ride while in Ok Jaanu, we have exactly it’s opposite. That’s the only difference, the director could think of?

Shraddha Kapoor, please go easy on Aditya Roy Kapur
Another minor difference here! There is a huge difference between Shraddha Kapoor and Nithya Menon’s expression in this scene. Nithya is having a pleasant smile while Shraddha has that intense look that could scare anyone (luckily Aditya isn’t). We definitely preferred Nithya’s look than Shraddha’s.

Not just Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, even the random scenes are copied
The similarity between Ok Kanmani and Ok Jaanu is not just limited to their lead actors. It’s even applicable for the random scenes in the movie. Time for Shaad Ali to think something out of the box and start making something original out of remake.
