It's Fiber Arts Friday!
This week's post is going to be super short because I am in the middle of a shawl and don't have a lot to show as the progress slowly moves. I cast on the Quicksilver a few weeks ago and absolutely LOVE IT! I am using to skeins of Wollmeise that were gifted to me. I received the Merlot skein a few years ago in a swap and it's been taunting me waiting for a project then this Winter I received the Feldmaus skein and rushed to grab my Merlot because the colors were perfect! After consideration, I decided to pair them with a skein of my handspun Suri/Merino/Silk in the colorway Weeping Angel...and magic happened.
I'm well over halfway done with this project and my goal is to have it completed before the end of the month so...more knitting, less typing.
Last Friday was my shear day. It went great! I don't have any pics to share because I was busy gathering fiber as the shearers did their work. I'm happy to have naked alpacas again.
Nick Fury has left the farm to join the other 4H Alpacas to train for fair so my kids are visiting him once a week to work with the other kids in our group.
We separated the bucklings from the rest of the goats last Saturday. They are officially attempting to breed the females so it was time. We also had our family photos and managed to get a few goat pics in the mix.
