Rome, ga- in Rome for the weekend working with the paralyzed veterans handcycling team.
This is a group of veterans who ride handcycles. I have never met a more humble, gracious and polite group of athletes in my life. And yes, they are athletes. The first Race of the weekend was called "need for speed" on this hill filled course the racers obtained speeds of over 45 miles per hour, inches from the ground, riding on mere square inches of rubber.
For the last year and a half my girlfriend Savannah Murrray and I have followed the team around documenting races and events. For each race there is a highlight film and photos. With hundreds of hours of footage a full length documentary is on the horizon. Stay tuned for updates. This project would not be possible with out the loving support of my girlfriend who has been by my side filming and serving as a phenomonal support for all of our endeavors and travel.
Here is a portrait of one of the team members from a race in Melbourne Florida.
These guys are heros. They race and live with their hearts. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this.
