Okay...I admit it. I LOVE the Kardashians which includes the two youngest Jenners, Kendall and Kylie. They're young. They're beautiful. They're rich. And, they're family oriented.
In my youth, Brooke Shields was my fantasy bestie. I collected and saved all of Brooke's Vogue covers during her teens. She and I are the same age group and I have always wanted to have a super-model as a best friend. Imagine my delight when I worked on key art for her television series,
Lipstick Jungle, for NBC. I was pinching myself because I could not believe I was being paid to peruse through her images for the campaign and to choose what I needed to create my artwork. Insanity! In high school, I knew that Suzanne Lanza was going to be a model just from looking at her. I even followed her around campus one day to photograph her. I was model obsessed. (If you find this post Suzanne, kids from Grant High are meeting at Sagebrush Cantina this Saturday night, 6/27/15 @ 8pm.)
Not since Brooke have I had the model bestie bug, but Kendall Jenner makes me wish I was young again so that we could be best friends. That being said, every now and then I do a search for Kendall's latest modeling pics, just to see how the industry is utilizing her look. Needless to say, this young model has many looks.

Most recently, I found a not-so-new photo of Ms. Jenner photographed by Russell James for Australian Vogue in 2012, and while I LOVE the photo, Jenner's pose, the hat and the shoes, I thought it was a bit too old for real life. So, I mixed things up a bit. Using a recent shot of Zendaya's legs to make the dress more youthful, I created this look as a ready-to-wear street version of the Vogue cover look. As much as I love the Vogue look, I think my remix is a much more flirty version than the original Zimmerman dress ($550).
