Aphelion Webzine, in their Short Stories Department has published “Neil’s Touchstone” by C.E. Gee.

Following his trip to Mars, Neil, a geologist, returns to Earth, is contracted by the Solarian Bureau of Land Management to find fossils in the John Day, Oregon fossil beds.

Besides fossils he finds something of decided interest, later finds romance. Neil also gets into legal trouble with the Solarian Government.
