American art director Steven Heller and design educator Lita Talarico, have created the ‘Free Hand: New Typography Sketchbooks’, which includes the work of over 70 of the world's most exciting, contemporary designers and typographers.

Providing an intimate look at the creative processes behind typefaces, word-images and logos, ‘Free Hand’ reveals a staggering range of unique ways to communicate, celebrating the varied and innovative ways that designers practice their time-honoured craft.

Containing over 600 sketchbook extracts from Philippe Apeloig, Gabriel Benderski, Bahman Eslami, Milton Glasier, Jonathan Hoefler, Sylvia (Di) Kong, and Morag Myerscough, its range of styles aims to engage and promote a diverse spectrum of creativity.
