Colourful 2D works inspired by underlying rhythms and patterns of nature

Jan Brandt is an artist working in mixed-media, textiles, printmaking, and painting. Owner of the Jan Brandt Gallery in Bloomington, IL, Jan curates exhibitions from visiting artists, alongside producing and showcasing her own art.

Most recently, her installation work was featured by the Lockport Gallery in the “ToyBox” exhibition. Her Hypothesis Series, which comprises of two-dimensional pieces, has been created in response to theses large-scale textile installations that Jan is most well-known for.

Inspired by the Underlying Rhythms and patterns of nature, the new body of work carries differences in its process, form, and dimensionality to co-exist with the 3D pieces. Discover more at www.janbrandtartist.com.
