Siloviki in Iran announced the termination of protests

On the seventh day of anti-government demonstrations in Iran, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced the cessation of all unrest. This is reported by Anadolu.

As the commander of the corps, Muhammad Ali Jafari, said, the protest actions "turned into hotbeds of unrest and unrest." He also reported on the detention of all persons inciting to mass actions and opposing the revolution.

"On Friday and the following days, the protests turned into hotbeds of turmoil and riots, the opponents of the revolution and the instigators involved in the actions were detained," he said.

Recall that in Iran the seventh day continues to protest simultaneously in dozens of cities in the country. The demonstrators set fire to the police and local government buildings, opposing the dictatorship of the supreme leader Ali Khamenei.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani commented on the protests in the country in a nighttime televised speech, saying that people have the right to a demonstration if it passes within the law.
