LONDON (Reuters) - Former England captain Wayne Rooney was arrested in Cheshire, England, on suspicion of driving under alcohol, British media reported on Friday.
Everton striker Rooney was arrested last night near his home in Cheshire after he was in a bar with cricket player Jack McIver who took a picture with him.
According to the daily Mirror, McIver raised the picture on the network "Instagram" around 22.00 GMT on Thursday (21.00 GMT) and commented on it, "International comfort / myth."
Cheshire police have yet to give any information about the incident, which comes after Rooney announced last week to retire internationally
