You'll Remain Poor If You Are Payed For Service Rendered To God, David Ibiyeomie Says In The Glory Reign Program.

The senior pastor of Salvation Ministry Hour of Salvation (SMHOS), Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has said those who are paid to render service in the church will always remain poor.

The cleric said this during the Glory Reign program, an annual program organized between the 22nd and 26th of January every year.

The statement was made in a video, which is now circulating online.

Citing a biblical passage, the cleric stated that such persons 'would never come out of poverty'.

His words:

"Some churches pay people for beating drums; I say if you are beating drums and they pay you?

"If you are hearing me anywhere in the world and they pay you for rendering service, I can tell you, you will never come out of poverty.".

"Thou shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless your bread and water. So the moment you serve God and they pay you, the blessing stops.

"It says the blessings of the Lord that maketh rich, so you will just remain at the level they are paying you; you will never rise.

"This is why drummers who receive money never get rich."
