The presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party in the just concluded presidential elections and former governor of Anambara State, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, has revealed that he paid a visit to Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi LGA in Plateau State.

The attack on Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi LGA by heavily armed gunmen has left many people in the region homeless, with both adult and child lives lost.
The attack, which started on December 26th, this year, has left nearly 200 people dead (according to France 24), causing the president (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) and his vice president (Kashim Shettima) to react and pay visits to the state, sharing in their grief.
Relating to his visit to the North Central region, Mr. Obi sympathized with the victims of the violent attack.
"I sympathized with the government and people of Plateau State, especially the many families who lost their loved ones to this dastardly act, and indeed with every Nigerian feeling the pain of insecurity. My heart goes out to the affected families, Mr. Obi tweeted.
While urging the need for the security agencies to fish out and flush the perpetrators of the heinous attack, Obi revealed that he donated a total of N15 million to the victims of the attack.
"I made a token donation of N10 million and N5 million to each of the two IDPs in both Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi LG Areas. I am very concerned about the growing numbers of people seeking refuge in different IDP camps across the country", he tweeted.
He further urged Nigerians to remain united so that the nation can remain on a path of peace and progress.
