Recall that Goodluck Jonathan became the 14th President of Nigeria on May 5, 2010, succeeding President Yar'Adua, and served until May 29, 2015. He ascended to the presidency after serving as vice president for 1072 days. However, he lost the 2015 election to General Muhammadu Buhari.
Additionally, Mr. Obi, who was the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, surprised many in the recently concluded 2023 presidential elections. Despite decamping from the People's Democratic Party (PDP), he emerged as a distant third in the elections against all odds.
