The famous Starlink owner revealed via a tweet on his official X handle that X Corp. would be donating all revenue generated from advertisements and subscriptions relating to the war in Gaza to hospitals in Isreal and the Red Cross/Crescent in Gaza. The X owner revealed this on the platform on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. He added that all donations towards the cause would be monitored, emphasizing his belief that humanity should be considered above religion, race, or creed.
In his words:
"X Corp. will be donating all revenue from advertising and subscriptions associated with the war in Gaza to hospitals in Israel and the Red Cross/Crescent in Gaza.
"We will track how the funds are spent and go through Red Cross/Crescent.
"Better ideas are welcome.
"We should care more about the innocent, regardless of race, creed, religion, or anything else."
The ongoing conflict between Israel and the Hamas-led Palestinian militant groups, which started around the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has now escalated throughout the Palestinian territory.
The war started when Hamas-led Palestinian militants launched a multi-pronged invasion of southern Israel from the Gaza Strip, killing Isreali civilians and soldiers. Since then, more chaos has erupted, with the lives of children, animals, and adults lost.
So far, Elon Musk's tweet on the social media platform has garnered lots of reactions from X users, as some have commended his decision while others have offered possible suggestions.
