Things seem to be going well for Chelsea FC with the return of two rock-solid defenders from injury.
The Blues, who spent over £1 billion to acquire players for the 2023–2024 campaign, saw a huge setback after 12 members of the squad were injured.
However, there appears to be a beacon of hope for the West Londoners as key rock solid midfielders Romeo Lavia and Lesley Ugochukwu have now returned to full team training today.

This especially comes at a time when Chelsea FC fans are celebrating the return of 26-year-old £52 million France forward and former RB Leipzig striker Christopher Nkunku, who made his long-awaited debut for the club in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals against Newcastle on December 20th, 2023, which saw the Blues scale through on penalties after a 92nd-minute comeback from Ukrainian forward Mykhailo Mudryk.

Recall that Romeo Lavia, who joined from Southampton, suffered ligament damage from training in less than 3 weeks after his addition to the team, and Lesley Ugochukwu incurred a minor injury this month.
The 19-year-old Ugochukwu has made 12 appearances for the Blues this season but has been out of action since the 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United.
