Hardship, Bad Government Policies Have Dampened The Hope Of Nigerians - Peter Obi Says In Christmas Message.

The former governor of Anambara State and the presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party in the just concluded presidential elections, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, has said that the hardship and bad governmental policies in Nigeria have dampened the hopes of Nigerians.

Peter Obi said this in his Christmas message, which he shared on his verified X handle today, December 25, 2023. Mr. Obi, who shared the tweet on X, admonished Nigerians not to be discouraged from sharing in the joy of the season and appreciating God's creation.

"This is why I wish to share the spirit of this season with all our compatriots, irrespective of station, circumstance, and persuasion. I fully acknowledge the difficulties of these times in our dear country.

"The hardship in the country and the biting effects of bad government policies and poor governance have dampened the hopes of most Nigerians.

"The difficulties and challenges of this moment should not, however, hinder us from appreciating the essence of our creation and the importance of seeking God’s mercy at all times," Mr. Obi tweeted.

Peter Obi, who has been championing the movement for a new Nigeria even after his loss in the polls in the 2023 elections, further encouraged Nigerians not to allow their setbacks to hinder them from trying to achieve the full potential of the once prosperous and vibrant nation, Nigeria.
