19-year-old on the missing titanic submarine was “terrified” of the journey but wanted to make his father happy

Suleman, the teenager on the missing Ocean Gate Titian submersible was reportedly terrified before going on the journey.

It was said that he joined his father in other to make him happy on Father’s Day.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Azmeh Dawood, the older sister of businessman Shahzada Dawood, revealed in an interview that her 19-year-old nephew, Suleman, had expressed reluctance and fear about the trip before boarding the Titan vessel off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada. However, driven by his desire to please his father on Father’s Day weekend, Suleman ultimately joined the ill-fated expedition.

On board were British explorer Hamish Harding, French submarine expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet, Pakistani-British tycoon Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman, and Stockton Rush, CEO of the sub’s operator OceanGate Expeditions.

The men aboard were announced dead on Thursday.

The Coast Guard announced earlier Thursday that an underwater robot had discovered a “debris field” in the search area.

OceanGate Expeditions charged $250,000 for a seat on the sub.
