Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) members began a Strike action 183 days ago, and now the union’s leaders plan to meet with the Federal Government delegation once more. ASUU will meet with the FG today, Tuesday, August 16, to discuss matters pertaining to the ongoing strike, according to Emmanuel Osodeke, the union’s national president, who made the announcement on Monday, August 15.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Osodeke stated that the union is eager to end the strike if the FG satisfies its demand at the meeting scheduled for today, in contrast to reports and allegations made in other quarters.
He claims that ASUU and the government have agreed to use the University Transparency Accountability Solution (UTAS) as the system for paying teachers.
