Some of the top business leaders in Columbus met last week to discuss issues impacting businesses today at the Women in Business Roundtable Discussion, which was a collaboration between the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and the Columbus Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Congressman Steve Stivers office.
NAWBO “propels women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide” with a goal to “represent the diverse make-up of the woman business owner community through increased reputation within ethnic and minority communities and to expand access to leadership opportunities”.
The Columbus, Ohio Chapter of NAWBO is the largest sector in the country. The roundtable, which was attended by Congressman Stivers, featured topics such as the Affordable Care Act, the Dodd Frank Act, regulation, the border adjustment tax, deductibility opportunities for small businesses and tax reform.
