She had come to the restaurant along with Yoshida. And so, the man tells Fami about the “Prophecy of Nostradamus.” This idea said that human life would come to an end in July 1999. And knowing this, Public Safety made 30 such contracts with the Future Devil to know about the actual future.

It turned out that 23 of these 30 were to die in the near future. In the next act of the chapter, Fumi gets to know that the remaining of seven people were to die this week. The chapter then cuts to the scene of the apartment where a couple is happy with the promotion. But for some reason, they take the decision of dying because living was almost too expensive. The chapter comes to an end with Yoru seeing all these people taking their lives one after the other.
