Laal Singh Chaddha is the upcoming comedy-drama film, which is based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel of the same name, and an official Hindi remake of the 1994 film Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. It is directed by Advait Chandan and the film has been produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Viacom18 Studios.

The cast includes Aamir Khan in the titular role as Laal Singh Chaddha, Kareena Kapoor Khan as Rupa, Naga Chaitanya as Balaraju Bodi, Mona Singh as Mrs Chaddha, Laal Singh Chaddha’s mother, Manav Vij as Mohammad Paaji, Aaryaa Sharma and others. The film has been a trending topic for a while now, as the fans are awaiting Aamir’s return after 4 years.

But as inspirational as the plot of the film is, the audience is eager to watch how it will be adapted to an Indian character. The trailer has been winning hearts since its release and moreover, the songs released from the film are being called as the best album to come out of a film.

The song is described as the soul of Laal Singh Chaddha, which is warm, innocent, loving and magical. The music is given by Pritam, lyrics are written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and sung by Mohan Kannan. The lyrics say “Why do things that happen, happen the way they do? Neither you know, nor I. Who knows, is there a story within us, or, are we within a story?”

They signify that nobody knows what lies in your future, it may seem incomplete at times, but just do what you want and keep moving forward. The snippet of the song was released a while back and was popular on social media as well. Many were making the Instagram reels using this soft, melodious song.

Kahani: Sonu Nigam’s Version

The song is sung in Sonu Nigam’s voice. While the earlier track is completely a lyrics video, this track shows the sweet and happy moments from our main lead’s life. Like being able to run for the first time to competing in professional races. Finding love and the heartwarming moments spent with them.

Sonu Nigam has been the frontier of ballad songs and his voice gives it a soulful touch. The video gives us a glimpse into the people involved in his life as well and how they supported him throughout his journey.

Main Ki Karaan?

Pritam and Amitabh Bhattacharya once again weave their magic with this song. The song is described as reliving your first love memories with this beautiful love song which is sung by none other than Sonu Nigam, accompanied by Romy. The song is like a confession to your crush where you can’t express in words, how much they mean to you.

The creators released a lyrical video first which starts off with Aamir Khan’s monologue talking about his crush. They later released another video which shows how he met Rupa and the beginning of their cute friendship. Watch the other video here.

Phir Na Aisi Raat Aayegi

Sung in the profound voice of Arijit Singh, the song tells the agony of longing, the sweet pain of unrequited love and the want of making this moment last forever. As soon as the song was released the bittersweet song about longing and pain, touched a chord with listeners who instantly took a liking for this heartbreaking song.

This soulful track is sung by Arijit Singh, Shadab Faridi and Altamash Faridi. The title Tur Kalleyan means to walk alone and the song visually describes what the lyrics want to say. It is said to be a song that celebrates the beauty of letting go and embarking on a brand new journey of self-love.

The video has been shot across the length and breadth of India, capturing the beauty of rising above everything else and walking alone. The song is in the Punjabi language and you can turn on captions to understand what each word means. The song is like a holding hand which embraces you and motivates you to keep going on, in your journey.

Tere Hawaale

The song is sung by the melodious Arijit Singh and Shilpa Rao. The opening lines by Arijit Singh in Punjabi instantly grab your attention and blow you away. Added with Shilpa Rao’s voice, it tugs directly at your heart strings. It is a love song that talks about surrendering yourself completely to love.

The released video is a lyrical one but we can imagine the song playing in the film when Aamir & Kareena’s character will meet again and it will definitely make us shed some tears at their reunion.
