What is the shape of my eyes?

Round, monolid, hooded, downturned, upturned, and almond are the six main eye shapes, and they’re all gorgeous in their own way. You may have also heard your eyes described as wide-set, asymmetrical, big, small, close-set, and deep-set. While these descriptions are certainly noteworthy, they are not exhaustive.

“These are secondary descriptions that go beyond shape. It is more specifically referring to the placement of the eye on the face “Colby Smith, a celebrity makeup artist at Exclusive Artists, stated

It’s also possible to vacillate between eye shapes. “People can certainly be of various shapes. I frequently encounter almond-shaped eyes that are slightly rounder than others. But, for the most part, the shapes are fairly distinct “Anton Khachaturian, a celebrity makeup artist whose clients include Lana Condor, Tia Mowry, and Meg Donnelly, said. Eyes of Almond

A person with almond-shaped eyes has an iris that touches the bottom and top of the eyelid. The crease on their lids is visible, and the ends of their eyes taper at the tear duct and the outer point.

Almond eyes are wider and have smaller eyelids than other shapes.

Eyes that are round

A person with round eyes has prominent creases. Whites on the top or bottom of their irises can be seen.

Their pupils appear more circular, as well as larger and more prominent. Their outer and inner eye corners do not taper or pull inward or outward.

Eyes with One Lid

A person with monolid eyes has little or no crease. Their eyes appear flat.

Prominent Eyes

The eyeballs of a person with protruding eyes appear to bulge outward from the eye socket.

Downcast Eyes

Downturned eyes are those that taper downward at the outer corner. The eye appears to be drooping toward the cheekbone.

About the eye shape quiz

Eyes Turned Up

Downturned eyes are the polar opposite of upturned eyes. The eye shape is typically almond-shaped, but there is a slight lift at the outer corner and the bottom lashes turn upward.

Some people refer to this eye shape as cat eyes.

Settled Eyes

This refers to the position of the eyes on the face rather than their shape. There is less space between the eyes when they are close together.

There is very little space on either side of the nose bridge.

Eyes with a wide focus

Close-set eyes are the polar opposite of wide-set eyes. The distance between them (across the nose bridge) is wider.

Wide-set Eyes

Deep-set eyes give the appearance of a higher brow bone. They are set deeper in the skull and appear larger than other types of eyes.

Eyes with Hoods

Eyelids appear smaller in people who have hooded eyes. An extra layer of skin that droops down over the crease causes the hood.
