Best Bike Repair Stands

Bike Repair Stands

1. Feedback Sports Bicycle Repair Stand Review

Brand: Feedback Sports

Weight: 13.5 Pounds

Best Choice

The Feedback Sports bike repair stand is my top bike repair stand for a variety of reasons. the first thing I noticed about it, is how stable it is.

Your not going to have to worry about it tipping over when your wrenching on a rusted bolt. You will be able to do any repair on your bike you need to.

My other main reason I like the Feedback Sports bike stand is how easy it is to fold up and store away. If you will be taking it on the road you will really appreciate how easy it is to setup and put in the back of your SUV or trunk of your car.

If you need to do some quick repairs on your bike before hitting the trails, this is an ideal mountain bike work stand.

Bike Repair Stands

Its wide base means you can use it almost anywhere, whether its a grass field, dirt track or your basement, its a super stable design.

For the price you will be surprised by the quality. The solid aluminum tubes are heavy duty and solid. The clamp holds your bike securely with its vise grip and opens and closes fast and easy.

The clamping knob has clutch mechanism that allows the bike to rotate around without readjustment and can hold the bike by the top tube or the seat post giving you flexibility.

It can accommodate bikes weighing up to to 65 pounds and works with any type of bike. The stand weighs only 12 pounds, so if you need the best bike work stand for DYI that is portable, easy to setup, then the Feedback Sports rack is your best bet.

  • Stand height adjusts from 42 to 65 inches
  • Easily fold-able design weighs only 12 pounds
  • Tripod design with a wide base gives you a stable footprint

2. Park Tool PCS-10 Bike Repair Stand Review

Brand: Park Tool

Model: PCS-10.2

Weight: 13.22 pounds

Check Latest Price

If your looking for a STURDY bike repair stand thats built like a tank, then the Park Tool PCS-10 needs to be in your work area. Its almost twice as heavy as the Feedback Sports stand reviewed above but its still only 25 pounds.

Rated to hold 100 pounds, almost twice as much as any other bike stand on the market, this is also suitable for an electric bike as well.

The stand has 2 legs in a 3 point configuration and being heavier this stand has incredible stability. Being heavier and sturdier, you can rotate your bike 360 degrees with the composite tube top smoothly and easily. With Park PCS 10 bike stand I had no hesitation flipping the bike upside down and any thing in between.

This is nice because some repairs are much easier when the bike is upside down. The clamp is all metal with a padding so it doesn’t damage your bike.

On the downside, this is not a stand you probably want to be folding up and taking on the road with you. Its just not as convenient as the Feedback Sports or the Bike Hand.

Ideally this is a stand that you setup in your work area and leave it. For that reason I would say this is the best bike stand for your garage.

That’s not to say its hard to assemble, its just not what it was designed for in my opinion. The Park PCS-10 is designed to be the last bike repair stand you will ever need.

  • Sturdy design that holds up to 80 pounds
  • Height adjusts easily from 39 to 57 inches
  • Composite tube top allows complete 360 degree rotation
  • All metal clamp with jaw holds the bike in place with quick release mechanism

3. Bikehand Pro Mechanic Bicycle Repair Stand Review

Brand: Bikehand

Model: 262805

Weight: 13 pounds

Bikehand Repair stand is designed for someone who is on a budget and wants a decent bike stand that will allow them do most repairs themselves. The Bikehand is make for an aluminum alloy that is both light and strong.

The Bikehand folds up easily into a compact package in a few minutes or less making it ideal for travel or storing it away in your work area. It comes in at a lightweight at 11 pounds and holds bikes up to 55 pounds. The description says you can rotate the bike up to 360 degrees but honestly I wouldn’t recommend trying that, the serrated teeth design will not hold up if you are trying move around a heavier bike.

The Bikehand is best for mounting a bike level or 20 or 30 degrees when rotating it. I also wouldn’t try any really heavy duty wrenching on it. If you need to do that, then with either the Park PCS-10 or the Feedback Sports bike stands.

Bike Repair Stands

One nice feature that the other stands didn’t have was a tray that mounts on the bike stand for holding tools and bike parts. This is a nice touch, makes it easy to keep track of those easy to lose screws.

This is the perfect stand for the casual biker who wants to do light maintenance, cleaning and lubrication on their bike. In my opinion the Bikehand is the best bike repair stand for the money.

  • Lightweight, weighs only 11 pounds
  • Strong, lightweight aluminum alloy construction
  • Easy to use, composite clamp
  • Includes repair tray that mounts on the stand

4. Feedback Sports Sprint Work Stand Review

Brand: Feedback Sports

Model: 16690

Weight: 12.61 pounds

Check Latest Price

This is my second Feedback Sports bike work stand and has some similarities to the Sport Mechanic stand. The Sprint is made to fold up into a small, compact and portable package. It is ideal for taking on the road and for someone who has little storage space. What makes the Sprint different mainly from the Sport Mechanic however is how the bike attaches to the repair stand.

With the Sprint you attach your bike on top of the arm with the dropout and the bottom bracket instead of clamping it to the bike cross bar. This method is preferred by mechanics because it gives you better access to the bike without the stand getting in your way. It is ideal for carbon fiber bikes because there is no chance of damage since there are no clamps on the cross bars of the bike.

The “Euro-Stand” fits all bikes with axle diameters up to 15 mm. (20mm with option adapter). The Sprint Repair Stand rotates around 360 degrees for easy access to the bike and adjusts in height from 30 to 48 inches.

Bike Repair Stands

Because the bike mounts to the top of the work bar, the bike is in an ideal position to install/replace parts, adjusting derailleurs and brakes. To me this is what makes the Sprint an excellent option for working on your bike.

The Feedback Sports bike repair stand is the best bike repair stand for carbon frames and made to last. The anodized aluminum will not rust or corrode and the wide base tripod design is stable.

The base is stable even on uneven surfaces like dirt and gravel making it ideal for travel, especially when mountain biking.

The Sprint folds up to only 5″ x 7.5″ x 30″ and comes with a carry/storage bag and will support up to 85 pounds and comes with a 3 year, no question asked warranty.

  • Sturdy design that holds up to 85 pounds
  • Height adjusts easily from 30 to 48 inches
  • Quickly folds into a compact unit
  • QR and Thru Axle mounting for stability

5. CXWXC Bike Repair Stands

Brand: CXWXC

Weight: 14.50 pounds

Check Latest Price

The wide base is very stable, even on uneven dirt or gravel surfaces. The CXWXC can handle bikes weighing up to 60 pounds, which is very comparable to the other bike stands reviewed. The bike has a solid clamp and firmly holds the bike under the seatpost or crossbar and has a rubber “teeth” that keep the bike from moving and protect the clamp from damaging the bike.

My mountain bike has a square crossbar, which is a bit unusual so I put a small towel around the cross bar so it fits in the clamp better. What’s nice about the CXWXC, is it comes pretty much completely assembled right out of the box. Just unfold the legs and you’re ready to go.

The clamp is a QR or Quick Release style, but most likely you will need to spin the lever to tighten it so the clamp is almost touching the bike then pull the clamp shut.

This is a big difference between the CXWXC and the Feedback Sports, the clamp in the Feedback Sports is like a vise and in my opinion is a better way of clamping. However the CyclingDeal’s clamp works and secures the bike firmly.

Bike Repair Stands

The CXWXC is the lightest of the repair stands, weighing in just under 11 pounds. I’m not sure this is a positive however because the stand is not quite as sturdy.

When rotating the bike, particularly when using the clamp under the seat post its not quite as stable as the other stands. On the plus side the CXWXC includes a tray for holding your tools and bike parts.

The stand adjusts in height from 55″ to 67″ and is made from an anodized aluminum for rust and corrosion resistance. It also comes with a 5 year warranty against manufactures defects. Overall the CXWXC is very capable and the best bike repair stand under $100.

  • Height of the stand adjusts from 55 to 67 inches
  • Easily fold-able design weighs only 10.75 pounds
  • 3-point leg system with a wide base gives you a stable footprint
  • Quality clamp secures you bike reliability
  • On seat post or top tube mounting
