A Tank Farm of Matrix Energy Limited has gone up in flames in Ifie community, Warri south local government area, Delta state, causing multiple explosions.

It was gathered that the incident which occured Friday night caused panic in the area.

There are over two tank farms operated by different major petrol marketers in the area.

Reacting to the incident, the chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, urged residents to remain calm.

Tidi, while confirming that fire service men have been mobilised to the scene, assured that the flames are being contained.

It could not be confirmed at press time if there was any death or casualty from the explosions.
