FC Barcelona’s pursuit of Robert Lewandowski has yet again been dealt another blow.
Barça have seen their third offer for the striker rejected by the German champions, according to BILD.
Bayern want to keep Lewandowski and will keep rejecting offers until their asking price is matched.
Barça’s rejected offer & Bayern Munich’s asking price
The German publication reports that Barcelona’s latest offer for Lewandowski is understood to have been €40 million guaranteed with €5 million in add-ons.
Barça have now made three offers for the striker with their first two not even receiving responses from the Bavarians.
Bayern are standing firm over their €50 million asking price.
This will now be a test of just how much Barcelona want the player, with this price tag being rather high for a 34-year-old who has just one year left on his contract.
Lewandowski is also eager to make the move putting pressure on the German champions to sell.
He is also considering going on strike by missing Bayern’s start of pre-season.
