PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas’ remarkable gesture to 30 Ukrainian refugees revealed
The selfless efforts of Paris Saint-Germain star Keylor Navas to aid a large group of Ukrainian refugees has been revealed on Saturday.
The situation in Ukraine has of course taken centre stage in headlines across the globe over the course of the last month, amid Russia’s ongoing invasion of the country.
Of a staggering 10 million citizens understood to have fled their homes, almost 4 million have made their way to neighbouring countries, and elsewhere throughout Europe.
And, as alluded to above, this weekend, a gesture on the part of PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas to aid one such group of refugees has come to the fore online.
As per Spanish outlet Diario Sport, the Costa Rican has welcomed a group of no fewer than thirty Ukrainian citizens into his home in Paris.
Navas is understood to have converted his personal theatre into a bedroom, having purchased a bed for each and every one of the individuals to have been invited to set up camp in his mansion.
The 35-year-old’s wife Andrea, meanwhile, has taken on the task of preparing meals, as well as ensuring that the couple’s Ukrainian guests are well stocked on clothes.
As per Sport‘s report:
“The association of gypsies from the Gracia neighborhood of Barcelona went to Krakow to bring food and Ukrainian refugees.”
“On his return Keylor Navas found out about it and welcomed 30 of them into his home.”
