It’s Miro Day at Virtual Crunchy Roll Expo 2020 (V-CRX)! Pro wrestling superstar Miroslav ‘Miro’ Barnyashev will join North Carolina Tar Heel basketball star Cole Anthony, and USA Track & Field Gold Medalist Aries Merritt to discuss the role Anime has played in their lives & careers.

IGN’s Jacki King will host the event emanating from V-CRX’s Hime Stage at 2:45 – 3:45 pm Pacific Time (5:45- 6:45 pm Eastern Time) on Friday, September 2.

Miro has previously cited Akira as the anime that got him into the scene after watching a copy of the film from his parent’s video store. During an interview with Crunchyroll, the former Rusev revealed Fullmetal Alchemist ‘deepened his love for brotherhood’ and that he believes ‘you shouldn’t give up on an anime after watching 1 episode.’

Much like AEW Superstar Kenny Omega, Miro is a big fan of My Hero Academia, naming All Might as his favorite character. Miro believes Death Note’s Light Yagami to be anime’s greatest villain.
