Hierarchy of the Cave Mutants (aka Blake) is a singer, songwriter and producer from St. Louis, Missouri. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember the St. Louis, Missouri musician from his 2022 single “Left Outside Your Door ”. That track introduced a talented and eclectic artist who collaborates with fellow musicians around the world to bring his experimental alt-pop and electronic compositions to life.

Over the last decade, the independent artist and entrepreneur has released a series of original tracks via SoundCloud and other platforms. A lifelong musician, he originally found inspiration in the hits of his childhood. He listened to everything from the Dixie Chicks to REO Speedwagon on routine, long-distance family road trips. In recent years he has turned his interest to the experimental sounds of electronic artists like Singularity and the envelope-pushing alt-pop of singers like Matt Maeson and Angie McMahon.
