Piero Brunetti is a veteran singer, songwriter and producer who made his professional recording debut in 1988 on the independent German label BMP Records. Then in 1990, the Italian musician was still studying music composition and theater in college when he was signed to heavy-hitter, Polydor Records.

Throughout the 90s Piero Brunetti produced a string of radio and dancefloor hits, topping charts from Canada to Switzerland. In early 2000s the hit-maker worked behind the scenes, producing records for other international artists. He moved to Berlin in 2007 to DJ and took an extended hiatus from the studio. In 2022 the prolific producer returned with a whole new catalog of music.

“Closer2U (Orbiting Jupiter Version)” is the brand new single from Piero Brunetti, released worldwide via all major streaming services on April 14, 2023. Ambient synths and muted indie-pop guitar open the track. Percussive arpeggios spin on the periphery as a female vocalist steps to the mic. The singer poses a series of questions to her lover in a dreamy lilting melody as the syncopated groove gradually builds to a chilled progressive house beat.
