Devon The God is the professional name of emerging independent producer, Devon Miles. He made his solo professional recording debut in 2021 with the album Nostalgia. That record introduced a talented young recording artist with a cool jazz-hop sound.
Since his debut, the prolific producer has released three full-length albums and is currently working on his fourth in just two years. Originally from Alabama and now living in Denver, Colorado, Devon The God has a passion for both jazz and hip-hop. In his music he marries the melodic complexities and soulful vibes of the former with the groove and aesthetic of the latter.
“Tudi トゥディ” is the current single from Devon The God’s most recent album Midnight Delight III, available worldwide via all major streaming services. As the track opens, a melancholy piano riffs on the Barbara Streisand classic “The Way We Were”. We can hear the sound of children playing in the distance as the beat drops on a lo-fi downtempo hip-hop groove and a subterranean bass rumbles the floor.
