Hassan Farrow is a singer, songwriter, vocal arranger, actor, and model based in New York City. Originally from Spain but raised in the United States, Hassan grew up around music and has been singing since childhood. While still in high school he had the opportunity to familiarize himself with the music industry. Working with both Sony Music and Jive Records, he learned the inner-workings of a recording studio from real hitmakers. In the process, the young artist was able to hone his songwriting and production skills.
“So In Love” is the debut solo album from Hassan Farrow, released worldwide to all major streaming services on May 21, 2021. On the eleven song collection he explores a fresh Neo-Soul vibe. Farrow’s music is a rich mix of genres and rhythms. It is a smooth and soulful record from an artist with a clearly defined style and vision.
The songs on “So In Love” incorporate elements of classic 80’s and 90’s R&B with modern grooves and production techniques. From sexy slow jams like the title song and “I’d Do Anything,” to the Blues ballad “Crazy Beautiful” and the Dark Pop vibes of “Shelter,” Farrow digs into deep soulful territory. He shows his Latin roots throughout the record with the Spanish guitar of songs like “Senseless love” and “Shake it Up.” Caribbean dance grooves spice up tracks like “Lighthouse” and the Latin Jazz/Salsa infused “Do You Like.”
“Fantasy Girl” is a fun Hip-hop track featuring guest rapper Hakin Ray. On that song and throughout the album Hassan Farrow includes creative production twists mixing in Pop, Rock, Trap, EDM and Synthwave sounds. Organic arrangements meet electronic beats to create a classic R&B vibe with a smooth modern feel. Through all of the record’s stylistic permutations, Hassan delivers deep soulful vocals with a sophistication of technique and style that belies the record’s status as a debut.
