Genesis - Vision Book

Tags: moses face thee

The Book Genesis is a vision book like the book of Revelation. God gave it to Moses when they were on the mountain.(KJV Exodus33)

Moses was talking with God face to face as two friends:"11 And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle."

When Moses was pushing God's buttons to show him the way(14 And he said, My presence shall go with Thee, and I will give thee rest.) and glory in Exodus 33, Moses said to God: "18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.21 And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen."

Notice in verses 20 and 23 how God says that Moses can't see the face but can see the back parts. If you look above on verse 11 Moses and God were talking face to face as a man speaks to a friend. What changed was when Moses asked to see the Glory and God said, i will make ALL my goodness pass before you. When asked about Glory God says his goodness; saying its my goodness that's my glory. Moses could see God's face and back side, but when Moses asked to see the glory it wasn't a physical face or back side to see, it was his Glory/Goodness trough-out all time and space. because Moses was not born after the cross, he could not get the born again experience, as when Jesus met Necodemus John3:3"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Because Moses was born before the cross he could only see the back parts, meaning the past, meaning Genesis where the goodness/Glory of God was moving. God said no man can see his face and live, because his face is Jesus Christ, Crucified and Resurrected, no man seeing this will live but will need to be born again.
2Cor4:6"For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."
God put Moses in a place by him, on a rock, in the clift of the rock, this speaks about God him-self, as Jesus him-self being the place, the rock and the clift being the tomb slid open to see beyond.(Verse 21-22)(John14:3"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.")

(Exodus 34KJV)
"2 And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.
3 And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.
4 And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.5 And the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.6 And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
