Kim Bishop is a woman with many talents. Printmaking, painting, installation, collage, performance art are her modes of communicating her symbols of self-narrative which are relatable to a general audience. Although her symbols are dreamy in nature, she isn't creating visual puns like a surrealist might. I don't get the sense that her works have a single easy read. I understand Bishop is known to create some impressively large prints which some are pressed with a steamroller.
