SPECTRO POP EXPRESS is a lively site dedicated to “Legendary pop music of the pre-Woodstock era”. For those of you interested in this era of pop & rock n' roll, you will definitely feel at home on this particular site. Here's several of the articles that caught my interest:

The CASHBOX MAGAZINE site is a great place to visit if you're into studying records charts from the past. I was lost in the sauce checking out charts from the 1940's to the 1990!
It's my humble opinion that one of the greatest record labels of all time was Stiff Records. I just happened to be rambling around online one night when I came across the the STIFF RECORDS WEBSITE and I was immediately reminded of how important this label was back in the day. It's rebellious spirit and oddball artist roster always succinctly captured the true spirit of rock & roll. Be sure to check this site out!
Aquarium Drunkard is one of my longtime favorite music blogs that describes itself as "an eclectic, independent audio blog featuring daily music, reviews, features, MP3s, sessions, interviews and more." The bloggers of this site also have a cool radio show on Sirius XM Channel 35 which is well worth checking out.
If you're looking for a sixties vibe, I recommend swinging by the FILLMORE EAST PRESERVATION SITE that is dedicated to maintaining the legacy of that great concert venue that once existed in NYC. Recently, I've been researching a future Rock Geography blog post on the Fillmore East and was found some much needed info on the website's SHOW LISTINGS page.
Every once in a while, I'll find something really interesting in the studios of WNYC, a fabled public radio station based in New York city.

The New York Times always has interesting articles pertaining to music. More often than not they capture my imagination. Here's several articles that were good reads:

Music fans can usually find some excellent articles in THE GUARDIAN.

The Quietus is an online magazine that, at first glance, seems to exude the air of a scholarly review in it's presentation and content but eventually one realizes that the site subtly maintains a wild streak in its reviews and opinion pieces.
Brooklyn Vegan is a NYC based blog that is the best resource of info on local concerts and new music releases. The site is extremely popular due to the great job they do tracking the activities of the New York city music scene. The website also throws its own music based events so if you're located in or near NYC, you should check this site out.
