Unresolved emotional issues : A tool for mobilization

A world today for those who live, desensitized to all that is dark around them. A world where those born into it are conditioned to forget or escape from all that is wrong, bad or negative. Be it their own emotions and feelings or even those of their loved ones. The information age- A time where those who have access, can learn about any aspect of almost everything. It’s unfortunate how there's no check for false information for those who aren’t technologically equipped. Drastic and evident increase in the presence of paid media or IT cells play a huge role in mobilizing masses based on false information. Whether it’s spreading hate and igniting fires between the people of India and Pakistan, whether it's getting people lynched for doing things they haven't done or just to spread collective hatred towards a person, group or community. It can be deeply bothering and pestering to think of how much the media or those in power don’t want us to know. Injustices that happen all over the world which aren’t reported or brought to light in fear of being killed or lynched or to protect those in power.

Many of those who rule, lead or hold power have this innate tendency to segregate people to soothe
their insecurities by dividing nations into classes or groups. They need this to remain in power, as all
those who have value need someone to value them. Once their impression is made it’s simply
"monkey see, monkey do"
for those blinded by their faith in them.
The world around us is full of people constantly rationalizing to themselves on how they are better than
the others around them instead of being happy with themselves.
Sometimes it seems people would do anything for the approval of those they hold in high regards, even
if it means strapping a bomb to their chest and blowing up places of peace and worship.

There's competitiveness and then there's condescension- The former is healthy until it transcends into
the latter.

Dissatisfaction from life often leads to increase in the amount a person spends condescending on, or
hating on others. It can even develop into a mechanism where one finds themselves taking pride in
hating on others without any rational reason. It’s this dissatisfaction that is most widely taken advantage
of by those who need to get their way. Whether it’s between Hindus and Muslims, Hindus and Christians,
upper caste and lower caste, beef eaters and pork eaters, USA and Afghanistan, white skinned and
colored skinned. It’s all a product of mobilization. This hatred, violence and killing have historically gotten
us nowhere. It’s the gratification of the need to take revenge, send a message or show power that
inevitably causes more destruction and more need to take revenge, send a message or show power.
It’s a never ending cycle.

This hatred and bitterness gets seeped deep in the veins of the masses, it gets inculcated and imbibed
within children and members of a community and then urges to come out. This takes place to such an
extent that any negative action by a single member of the opposing group lead to over-generalizations
of the entire opposing group. Much like the irrational assumption that all Indians are rapists or that all
Pakistanis are terrorists. Neither of these are true in any sense. It’s the action of a certain amount of terrible
people that make people form an opinion of an entire community and it’s the naivety or ignorance of the
common people to form that opinion.

We often ignore how much anger and resentment flows in the veins of those around us, the sadness
and the sad. Constant conditioning to try to be happy in a world where there are such widespread
injustices prevalent in every corner. It’s true that happiness and positivity are essential to be able to
live a life where one is engaged and motivated to contribute their part to society. However, this deeply
engraved pursuit of happiness can often change into an escape from sadness. It can evolve into a reaction
of panic every time happiness does not prevail in life. It’s not about trying to be happy it’s more about acceptance of the fact that it is okay for people to be sad or angry or any of the so called negative emotions and be allowed to figure out why or what is bothering them extensively rather than shoving these feelings down and presenting a big smile to the world.

This forced smile doesn’t stop the world from being unforgiving but neither does the anger and violence
in society. Acceptance has to be taught in these Changing Times, we have to learn to understand emotions,
feelings and ways of coping for ourselves and those around us. The way people say things, the words they
choose, their tone and their emphasis. Everything around us and everything anyone does is something that
can be learned from. The world that is present today is not even close to the final state of mankind.
It is an interim state between changing times. It is a state where people continue to manipulate, divide,
steal and deprive. All of these actions root from some sort of resentment present in some stage of life.
Resentment that was never addressed or Emotional Issues that never got acceptance.

It can feel naive to expect any sort of remedy to injustice and to expect punishment for those who cause
injustice. This hypothetical remedy is integral for humanity to sustain itself. The world today needs correction,
it needs people to understand each other. There's scope for everyone here. It's the approach that makes the
difference. It's knowing your strengths and weaknesses. Knowing where you stand and where you have to go.
It’s preventing people from taking paths filled with hatred, by understanding, addressing and correcting the
hate within them.

If we could solve the problems inside we'd be able to exponentially improve the quality of the world outside.
