Tags: xbox

Microsoft Xbox has different versions such as Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X. Each version has its own features and upgrades from the previous ones. If you are wondering about upgrading your Xbox, you came to the right place. We have broken it down for you and all you have to do is answer these questions.

Does what your console looks like matter to you?

The original and the first Xbox One was a gigantic, heavy rectangle box. Xbox One S came out with a bang. It had a stronger power and a cooler design. It came with a clean, modest look and didn’t require a bulky power brick. The Xbox One X is all about being the best version of Xbox. It gives the best possible gaming experience and is slightly trimmer than Xbox One S. It is also more attractive and stylish than Xbox One and Xbox One S.

If the appearance of your Xbox doesn’t disappoint you, you don’t have to upgrade it for this reason.

Is your console’s performance really important to you?

The Xbox One received positive reviews for its controller design, the multimedia features and voice media. But soon it amassed criticism for frequent lagging and being too slow. Xbox One has an octa-core CPU at 1.75GHz and 853 Mhz GPU with 12 compute units and 1.3 teraflops of performance and 8GB RAM.

The GPU of Xbox One S is bumped to 914 Mhz to help with the 4K upscaling, but here’s not a significant improvement from the previous model as far the performance levels are concerned.

Xbox One X takes a big jump when you compare it with the other versions. It has an octa-core 2.3 Ghz CPU, a 1.172 Ghz CPU with 40 compute units and a whopping six teraflops of output and 12GB RAM.

After reading this, if you are considering upgrading, then directly upgrade to Xbox One X, as Xbox One S, doesn’t show much improvements or significant changes in the performance levels from the Xbox One.

Does having the best display matter to you?

The low quality graphics of the Xbox One were highly criticized. Xbox One gives a 1080p Full HD resolution.

The Xbox One S supports 4K UHD Blu-ray disc playback and high dynamic range that gives a better and accurate range of colors. The frame rates are improved. It can also give 4K media from both streaming services and Ultra HD Blu-ray discs, and can also upscale games of 1080p into 4K resolution.

On the Xbox One X, multiplatform games like Forza Motorsport 7 will have smoother performance than on the other models. The horsepower of Xbox One X is so high that it can display a lot of games in 4K resolution at 60 fps. Streaming or using UHD Blu-ray will not be a problem in Xbox one X. It gives the best visual experience regardless.

If you want to have a high quality visual experience, upgrade from your Xbox One to Xbox One S or Xbox One X. Upgrading from Xbox One S to Xbox One X will not result in a worthy and significant impact, unless you want the absolute best.

Do you have a 4K TV?

4K TVs with good motion handling and low input lag offer a responsive gaming experience. You’ll get a super sharp picture with four times the pixels as that of a 1080p display, and your games will truly come to life at 4K.

If you have a 4K TV and want to step up your gaming experience, jump to Xbox One S or Xbox One X. It wouldn’t disappoint you, and will be worth every penny.

The Xbox One X hits extra special only when there’s a 4K TV. If you want to have a high quality visual experience while playing or streaming, it is high time you upgrade. In case you don’t have a 4K TV, take a step back and think briefly whether you need to upgrade to Xbox One X. It’s definitely wiser to get that first before you poke your pocket for a new console.

All the three consoles support all the games. Xbox One X costs about $640.99 and you can buy it here. The Xbox One S costs about $369.99 and you can get it here and the Xbox One starts at $299. Xbox One X is one of the most powerful consoles now and it is worth the money. So if you are planning to upgrade your Xbox One or Xbox One S, it is high time that you do it. It takes up the spot as the best game console to exist. It is reasonably priced and supports non-PC gaming.

However, If you are totally satisfied with your Xbox One or Xbox One S, you don’t need to upgrade at all!

You’ll love playing these 7 games on any version of your Xbox One!
