Zayn Malik has gone ahead and released yet another cover of a Hindi number. This time, he has chosen the song Allah Duhai Hai from the film Race 3, which was originally been sung by multiple artists. He has released the song via Twitter, of all platforms, with the message, “For the fans.” The tweet containing the song has received more than 45 thousand comments, which feature a right balance between appreciation and trolling.

Zayn hasn’t quite revamped the song in any way. He has sung it just like the original. He seems to have taken a lot of effort in getting the accent right. This shows in his pronunciations, which are pretty accurate. Although when it comes to his vocal prowess, it’s not quite visible in this one owing to the EDM nature of the song.

Needless to say, this rendition of his is miles ahead of this raw cover of Kailash Kher’s Teri Deewani that he had put out some time ago. In it, he had botched up the lyrics and even got the pronunciations wrong, which ultimately resulted in it getting so much flak from trolls that he had to take the song down.

Allah Duhai Hai, if you’re not aware, was originally composed by Pritam for the first edition of the film Race, back in 2008. He recreated the song for Race 2 in 2013, while the Race 3 version has been composed by people from his musical project, JAM8. This song has been sung by Amit Mishra, Jonita Gandhi and Sreerama Chandra, and it even features a short rap portion by Raja Kumari.

Zayn Malik left One Direction in 2015, and has since then been concentrating on his solo career. A year later, he released his first solo album titled Mind of Mine, which made him the first British male artist to debut at number one in both the UK and US. While that is his only album till date, he has been hogging a lot of limelight with his singles and collaborations as well.
