Hard Hard From Batti Gul Meter Chalu Is A Hardcore Dance Number

Hard Hard is the name of the latest song from the upcoming film Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The makers of this film have launched it on streaming sites, while also releasing a music video on YouTube, which has leading actors Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor showcasing some highly energetic dance moves.

Hard Hard is the third song from the Batti Gul Meter Chalu and has been composed by music director duo, Sachet–Parampara. The song is basically about dancing, and has no deeper meaning to it other than “Hard hard naachenge.”

The presence of Mika Singh is a big highlight, as he brings with himself his characteristic relaxed singing style that’s so ironically filled with energy. He doles out offhand raps like, “Bum mein baby bomb laga doon. Fuse main saare aaj uda doon. Floor ka badshah banke dikha doon. Maine bol diya.”

Written by Siddharth-Garima, these lyrics move further with the words, “Baat baat pe golabaari. Ek akela sab pe bhaari. Mera vachan na jaaye khaali. Maine bol diya.” The female portions of this song are sung by Prakriti Kakkar, who renders her lines beautifully. Her first verse continues the humorous tone of the rest of the song – “Haath lagayega shock tu khayega. Bijli ki wire pe. Chipkega mujhse to, liquid ho jayega. Lagta tu soft bada.”

Sachet-Parampara 1have given us a good composition in the form of Hard Hard. However, it’s not something that you’d want to keep listening to. The song sounds like a generic party track that will be played on the dance floors for a few weeks before vanishing into oblivion.

The first song to be released from the soundtrack of Batti Gul Meter Chalu was an Anu Malik composition named Gold Tamba. The next track to be launched by the makers was Dekhte Dekhte, which is a recreation of a classic qawwali by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, called Bewafa Ho Gaye Dekhte Dekhte.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu has been directed by Shree Narayan Singh, who was the man behind Toilet: Ek rem Katha. The story of this flick revolves around a small town in Northern India where electricity cuts and load shedding have made life hell for residents. Apart from Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, it also stars Divyendu Sharma, Sudhir Pandey, Farida Jalal, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Atul Srivastava and Ram Charan.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu will hit cinemas on 21 September.
