Falling in love is tough they say, but well, if you’re about to date your sibling’s friend, the rules can be a little awkward at first (but don’t worry, there are always tips that can help everyone get comfortable and ease any tension).
One of the first things you absolutely have to remember is that, no matter what you do,don’t try to hide it from your Brother or sister. If you are dating your brother’s friend, or want to ask out your sister’s friend on a date, it is best to make sure that your sibling is aware of what’s going on.

Ladies, the guy you are dating needs to be man enough to have that talk with your brother, and yes, as the sister, you too can do your bit by talking to your brother.
And if your date is your sister’s friend, try and talk to her about it and how you like the ‘friend’ and would like to ask her out on a date.
Can I date that friend?
There is no relationship rule that says you cannot date your sibling’s friend. OF COURSE you can
The one thing that could definitely go wrong, two things actually, is that it can mess up your sibling’s relationship with this ‘friend’ and it can also cause some damage to your relationship with your brother or sister. If you don’t talk about it up front, your sibling can feel that you have deliberately tried to hide the relationship. And then again, it will always be difficult in case of a breakup, when your sibling may be in a weird position to choose loyalties with you or with the friend.
How to proceed then?
Don’t get into too many details. Just tell them you like this friend and are planning to see how it goes. Know what? Your sibling can actually help you understand this person better, and who knows, maybe it can move on to more than just dating.
Whatever it is, happy dating we say!
