With the weather turning cooler, it’s time to look at new ways to enjoy the season. Hotel Sofitel has the answer with Sofitel Wine Days from September 1 – October 31, an annual celebration of French Culinary Heritage. The program coincides with the traditional wine harvest period in France and offers guests an authentic opportunity to “Live The French Way.”
Join the wine-themed events or enjoy specialty French wines at the hotel’s restaurants, CDA, La Terrace and Le Bar. Sofitel Chicago’s Wine Days celebrations include seasonal fall wine dinners, exclusive events on hotel’s patio, La Terrace, and weekly complimentary wine tastings.
Under the helm of Executive Chef Cliff Crawford, diners explore what makes French food and wine so extraordinary as they are guided through a curated wine tasting during an intimate four-course meal.
At the Sofitel Wine Days Dinner on September 9, 2022 the menu will feature wines such as Domaine Gilles Noblet Macon-Fuisse (Burgundy, France) accompanied by dishes such as tuna tartare and coffee rubbed New York prime strip.
At the Fall Harvest Wine Dinner on October 7, the menu will include goat cheese gnudi with heirloom squash, paired with refreshing, Fall harvest wines.
La Terrace Wine Tasting Event
Faire la Fête on La Terrace on September 14 is a wine-tasting event to celebrate the mid-harvest season. Enjoy the last evenings of the summer at Sofitel Chicago’s outdoor terrace with live music from DJ JaxxSway and violinist Violin Girl while tasting a selection of French wines and hors d’oeuvres.
Weekly Complimentary Wine Tastings
Guests who stay at Sofitel Chicago in September and October will enjoy complimentary wine tastings in the elegant hotel lobby every Thursday from 5 pm until 6 pm. Enjoy some of their favorite French wines and custom cheese plates to compliment.
