The victim, Julius Umukoro, 42, was crushed to death when the bullion van rammed into him and his motorcycle at the Ighwre-Ovie community axis of the Ughelli/Asaba express road. Confirming the incident to  Saturday Vanguard  yesterday,   an official of the Federal Road Safety Corps,   FRSC who spoke on condition of anonymity, hinted that the incident almost led to a breakdown of law and order as youths from the community in anger, chased away operatives of the FRSC who had come to rescue victims from the scene of the accident.

Witnesses at the scene of the incident explained that the accident was as a result of the driver of the bullion van driving against traffic while trying to overtake another vehicle when it rammed into the motorcycle rider and crushed him to death.

Speaking on the plight of the victim who was an indigene of  Akperhe-Olomu in Ughelli South council area of the state, one of his brothers, Jonathan Obrogor in a chat with  Saturday Vanguard  stated that the wife, children and immediate family of the late Julius, have been thrown into mourning as a result of the incident and appealed to the government to check the excesses of bullion bank drivers in the state.
