Bachchan Pandey Movie Story: Less Action-Comedy

Akshay Kumar’s name is known for making the most number of films in Bollywood. The character of Akshay Kumar was named Bachchan Pandey in the 2008 film ‘Tashan’. Now his film Bachchan Pandey has come in the same character’s name. Although the name is the same, this film has nothing to do with Tashan’s character. It is a masala film other than Akshay Kumar’s films based on social issues and patriotism. After a long time, Akshay Kumar has appeared in his negative character. See below the Bachchan Pandey movie story.

Bachchan Pandey Movie Story

All the spices like action, romance, dance, song, comedy have been put in Akshay Kumar’s film Bachchan Pandey. The story starts in Mumbai. Myra (Kriti Sanon), working as an assistant director in Mumbai, aspires to make films. The makers give him the idea to make a gangster biopic. During this, mention of Bachchan Pandey (Akshay Kumar) of Baghwa in Uttar Pradesh comes. It is said that both his eyes and heart are of stone because he is very fond of killing people. Bachchan Pandey wants the fear of his name to prevail all around.

Myra is taken aback when she reaches Baghwa to make a film. There is no law, regulation, or directive in that place. The goons openly beat up the policeman. Media and journalists are burnt alive. Myra and her struggling actor friend Vishu (Arshad Warsi) decide to make a film on Bachchan Pandey. After that, whether the film is made or not and whether there is any change in the life of Bachchan Pandey, the story revolves around this.

Remake

On Friday, released in cinemas, Bachchan Pandey is a remake of the 2014 Tamil action crime comedy film ‘Jigarthanda’. The film was inspired by the Korean film ‘The Dirty Carnival’. It is better if the audience does not expect logic or credibility from this film. The writer and director have structured the scenes according to their needs.

Artist

The main aim of the movie Bachchan Pandey is to maintain the thrill. However, the director of the film Farhad Samji is not entirely successful. The terror and fear of Bachchan Pandey are being talked about in the film, but it is nowhere to be seen. The film features a talented character cast that is noted for its unmatched comic timing. Among them is Pankaj Tripathi in the role of Gujarati acting coach Bhavesh Bhopalo and also Sanjay Mishra is in the role of Bufria Chacha, the stammer. With some of his lines in the film, he ventures to laugh a little. Prateik Babbar as Virgin, Abhimanyu Singh as Pendulum, and Harsh Kumar Shukla as Kandi have enough screen time for Bachchan Pandey’s goons.

This film has been promoted as an action-comedy, but the amount of comedy shown in the trailer is just that in the film. Bachchan Pandey is ultimately Akshay Kumar’s film. He has developed a style of such films. He looks great in this style and looks good too. Kirti Sanon is also looking glamorous. She has tried to do better in terms of script. Jacqueline Fernandez’s character is minor, and there is nothing new. Overall it is a masala film with less action and less comedy.
