World Wildlife Day 2022: History And Significance

Due to the increasing population, the number of Forests is continuously decreasing in the country and abroad. As the forest decreases, the number of Wildlife is also decreasing continuously. In such a situation, the need to protect them is constantly being felt. There was a time when forests were abundant in the country. At that time, people did not care at all about what would happen if the forest was over. Now that many wildlife species have become extinct due to the continuous depletion of forests, the government is making a lot of efforts to conserve these forests. Due to the decrease in forests, it is affecting the environment, so more emphasis is being laid on Wildlife And Conservation/Maintenance Of Forests. Keeping this in mind, World Wildlife Day is celebrated on March 3.

World Wildlife Day 2022

The celebration of World Wildlife Day started on December 20, 2013. The United Nations, in its 68th session, declared March 3 to be World Wildlife Day. To raise awareness about the world’s wild animals and plants as World Wildlife, this day was started by United Nations. World Wildlife Day 2022 is being celebrated with the theme of “Recovering key species for ecosystem restoration”. The day has become one of the most important global annual events dedicated to wildlife. The theme has been chosen to draw attention to the state of conservation of some of the most critically endangered species of wild fauna and flora. According to a report, more than 8000 species of wildlife and flora are endangered, and more than 30,000 species are on the verge of extinction or extinction.

It is also estimated that about 100,000 species have become extinct, of which no one is aware. At least on this pretext, now the government is taking an interest in the conservation of animals so that the biodiversity can be made again as before.

According to the information received, only five percent of the area in our country is protected, of which only two percent is excellent. And the remaining three percent were just as neglected, on which human pressure was increasing continuously. They were being infringed upon for development works. In such a situation, now the focus is on the conservation of this remaining area. Every effort is being made to make it the same as before. After Corona, more work is expected to be done on environmental protection. Hope there will be conservation in this remaining area in the coming days. With this improving the country’s environment, the number of wildlife will also increase.
